Terms of Use

SignDrop · Last updated July 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SignDrop browser extension and its related pages (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important — legal validity of signatures SignDrop is a convenience tool for placing signature images and annotations onto PDF documents. It is not a certified or qualified electronic-signature service. Signatures created with the Service may or may not constitute a legally binding electronic signature under the laws of your jurisdiction (for example eIDAS in the EU, or the ESIGN/UETA framework in the US). For documents that require a legally binding, non-repudiable, or notarized signature, consult a qualified professional or use a certified e-signature provider. You are solely responsible for determining whether a signature produced with the Service is legally sufficient for your purpose.

1. Use of the Service

2. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any signature or document produced with it will be accepted or recognized by any third party or authority.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any dispute over the validity, authenticity, or enforceability of any signed document. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it and uninstall it.

4. Your Responsibilities

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data the optional phone-signature feature processes and how it is handled. All other activity remains local to your device.

6. Third-Party Services

The optional "Sign with Phone" feature uses Google Firebase to briefly relay a signature between your devices. Your use of that feature is additionally subject to Google's applicable terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our own configuration of them.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may discontinue or modify the Service at any time without notice.
